Mayor Surendra Chauhan hoisted the national flag at Rajiv Bhawan

Shimla Municipal Corporation Mayor Surendra Chauhan hoisted the national flag at Rajiv Bhawan, the state Congress headquarters, on the 77th Republic Day. A contingent of the Seva Dal, led by flag bearer Dinu Rahi, saluted the national flag.
In his address, Surendra Chauhan congratulated the party leaders and workers present on Republic Day and said that everyone must come together to protect the unity and integrity of the country, as well as the Constitution. He said that our Constitution gives us the right to move forward with equal opportunities and without any discrimination. Recalling the contributions of party leaders from the country’s independence to its reconstruction, he said that we must always move forward by following the path shown by them.
On this occasion, Deputy Mayor of Shimla Municipal Corporation Uma Kaushal, State Women Congress President Zainab Chandel, Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee Scheduled Caste Department President Amit Nanda, Shimla District Congress Committee City President Indrajit Singh, Youth Congress President Chhatar Singh Thakur, All India Women Congress General Secretary, State Women Congress Incharge Sunita Gawande, Shimla Municipal Corporation Councillors Chaman Prakash, Shanta Verma, Vinod Bhatia and many other party officials and party workers were present.
