Manali, Kufri , Shimla  Dalhousie wrapped in snow

Manali, Shimla , Kufri and Dalhousie in Himachal Pradesh were wrapped in a thick blanket of snow on Thursday  derailing normal life even as the authorities began clearing snow from major roads including the Hindustan Tibet highway . 
Shimla Deputy Commissioner Aditya Negi said traffic was disrupted on the Lakkarbazar – IGMC and the Hindustan – Tibet highway between Kufri and Narkanda . 
The MeT office recorded 55 cm  snow at Kothi and 14 cm in Manali in Kullu till 17.30 pm on Thursday , 10 cm in Kinnaur , 5 cm each in Morang and Kukumseri in Lahaul Spiti , 3 cm in Kufri , Dalhousie and Keylong and 13.8 cm in Shimla .  Rohtang pass and Kunzum pass in Lahaul – Spiti , Kinner Kailash in Kinnaur , Pangi , Bharmour and Manimahesh in Chamba , Shikari Devi in ​​Mandi , Dhauldhar ranges of Kangra , and Haripur Dhar in Sirmaur got moderate to heavy snowfall .  Due to snow , 259 link , three National Highways and one state highway were blocked .  A total of 477 power supply links and 37 water supply schemes were affected .  Normal life was paralysed in Chawari in Chamba after 40 mm of rains, Nahan and Pachhad in Sirmaur, Kasol and Manali Kullu had 24 mm each of rains , Banjar had 15 mm , Seobagh got 14 mm , Wangtoo in Kinnaur , Kasauli in Solan , Saloni in Chamba and Baldwara in Mandi received 12 mm rain each .
 The temperature in Keylong , headquarter of Lahaul Spiti , was minus 4.8 degrees Celsius , in Kalpa in Kinnuar and Kufri minus 2 degrees , in Manali 0.5 degrees , in Dalhousie minus 1.3 degrees , in Shimla 0.4 degrees in Dharmshala 5.4 degrees , in Mandi 8.4 degrees and in Kangra it was 8.4 degrees Celsius . 
Maximum temperature plummet by five to six degrees in the state as Keylong was minus 2.8 degrees Celsius , in Kalpa in Kinnuar zero and Kufri one degrees , in Manali three degrees , in Dalhousie 0.3 degrees , in Shimla 2.5 degrees in Dharmshala 7 degrees , in Mandi and  Kangra  nine degrees Celsius each . 
Widespread rains or snow have been predicted in most places in the state.
