Man dies in fire mishap in Kullu
A man died after burn injuries after a devastating fire broke out in the Batahad area of the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh last night.
Police chief of Kullu Dr. Karthikeya informed that a major fire broke out in a house at midnight on 0130hrs when the victim was in deep sleep.
Local people tried to douse down the inferno but a man succumbed to burn injuries in his bed. The deceased was identified as Jeevan Lal (42), a resident of Batahad.
The cause of the fire has not been known. Banjar police took the body into custody and brought it to Banjar Hospital after the post-mortem it was handed to the deceased family.
Gram Panchayat Pardhan Smt. Shanta Devi informed that the deceased was sleeping alone in his room when the incident happened.
