Man books in dowry-torture case
Himachal Pradesh Police booked a man and his family members in a case for alleged assault on the victim seeking dowry , FIR has been lodged under police station New Shimla in the state on Monday. Superintendent of police Shimla Ms Monika Bhutunguru said that a case has been lodged under section 498A IPC at PS Woman New Shimla on the Complaint Divya Dogra resident of Tutikandi Shimla. Victim alleged that She was married with accused Atul Thakur resident of Chandigarh through Matrimonial. During preparation of marriage they demanded for dowry and after marriage she was tortured physically and mentally by her husband and in-laws. Investigation in the case is underway.
