Man booked for fake post on X
Shimla police booked a person at East Shimla police station for making a false posts related to the property of All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi’s daughter.
Copy of FIR with us mentioned that action has been taken on the complaint of Chhota Shimla resident and Congress worker Pramod Gupta on this matter.
In the complaint Pramod Gupta alleged that a man identified some Anoop Verma had made a false and factless post on X on May 10 at 3:22 pm, in which it was claimed that Priyanka Vadra’s daughter Kumari Miraya Vadra has property worth Rs 3000 crore.
The complaint said that such baseless posts have tried to tarnish the image of the Congress in the midst of the Lok Sabha elections, so that the credibility of the Congress is adversely affected.
This post was made with the intention of spreading hatred towards the Congress.
According to the complaint, this tweet of Anoop Verma is based on wrong facts. This is a deliberate attempt to damge the reputation of Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi.
The complainant has said that the false and fabricated tweets made by the said person have caused a lot of anger among the Congress workers of Himachal Pradesh as well as the general public.
Police has registered a case under sections 153, 469, 500, 505 of the IPC and started further action.
The police is tracking the person after having the complaint under Chhota Shimla police station.
