LS MP seeks to declare Transgiri of Sirmaur as Schedule Tribe Areas

Member of Lok Sabha from Shimla reserve seat and BJP state president Suresh Kashyap today  met with Union Minister Arjun Munda seeking long pending demand of Hati community of Giripar area of ​​district Sirmaur to declare as Scheduled Tribe area.
BJP promised to declared Transgiri backward area of Kangra district as Schedule Tribe Areas made no progress so far despite number of former MPs are raising this demand with the centre for past 20 yrs
 Shimla, BJP State President and MP Suresh Kashyap met Union Minister Arjun Munda ti raise this demand of (Hati community of Tansgri area of ​​Sirmaur district) urged them to fulfill this demand at the earliest.  
There has been a long standing demand to declare the Hati community of the Transgiri region as a tribal.
 The Transgiri area of ​​district Sirmour, which is adjoining Jaunsar Babar of Uttarakhand, comprises about 144 panchayats in four blocks of district Sirmour and has a population of about 02.75 lakhs.
  In 1967, the people of Jaunsar Babar area were declared tribal however the Hati community of the Giripar region of Himachal was not declared as a tribal. 
 Whereas theTransgiri  area of ​​district Sirmaur and the area of ​​Jaunsar Babar of Uttarakhand were part of the district Sirmaur princely state during before it’s accession into union of India.
On this demand, the representative of district Sirmour met with former Prime Minister  Manmohan Singh in 2011 and  the current Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Home and current Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on 2017.
 All the reports sought by the concerned ministry have been sent to the center by the state government.  Ethnography of Hati community of Transgiri area has been sent to Registrar General of India. 
 The Union Minister assured that immediately after seeking the details of the entire case, further action would be implemented.
