Lok Sabha Poll : Five new guarantees to women by AICC
A day ahead of schedule announcement of Lok Sabha election in the country All India Congress Committee promised to provide five guarantees to empower and ensure gender justice for them in the country.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday state Mahila Congress president Janeb Chandel announced that under the leadership of AICC president Malikarjun Khadge and party leader Rahul Gandhi frame a new policy for upliftment and justice of women in the country if INDIA government voted to power in the centre.
Based on the five guarantees AICC assured to launch a Naya guarantees scheme.
It would provide five type of election manifesto to women for Lok Sabha election .
It would cover five type of guarantee ‘include Mahalaxmi guarantee to ensure entitlement to half of women, second- provision of 50 per cent employment to them in the union government jobs, third -doubling the honorarium to Asha and Anganwari workers and helpers, fourth -Adhikar Matri Guarantee and fifth -Savitribai Phole hostel guranatee.
Ms Chandel said that if INDIA government would be voted to power Rahul Gandhi would provide Five Woman justice Guarantee.
Under the first Mahalaxmi guranatee all poor woman in the country would be pay Rs one lakh per Annum.
Second Guarantee of woman entitlement fifty percent of posts in the union government to be reserved for woman candidate.
Third guranatee, Narshakti Samman all the Asha and Anganwari workers and helpers would be paid double wages or honorarium from the existing one.
Fourth Guranatee ‘Adhikari Maitri’ Guranatee in every Panchayat ‘Adhikar Mitar’ would be recruited to create awareness about woman empowerment and their rights.
Under Fifth Guranatee Savitribai Phole number of women hostel would double for working women.
She said that great vision of Congress party helped women to liberate them and they coyed now compete with men in the every sphere of life. Ms Chandel said that Policy of Congress for women have helped them in their economic empowerment and special rights and protection from various kind of atrocities extended to them by Congress government.
