Lok Sabha and six assembly bye poll notifications issued in Himachal Pradesh 

 In the scenic hills of Himachal Pradesh, the electoral fervor reached a crescendo as the Election Department announced the commencement of the electoral process for both the Lok Sabha General Elections and six Assembly Constituency bye-elections.

 With the issuance of notifications by the respective Returning Officers on the 7th of May 2024, the political landscape of the state was set abuzz with anticipation and activity.

The spokesperson of the Election Department, in a statement, released the schedule to run up to the elections. 

Nomination would be filed from the 7th to the 14th of May, aspiring candidates were granted the opportunity to file their nominations, ensuring a fair and inclusive democratic process.

According to ECI the voter’s final roll also be made public on May 14.

The notification was issued separately scheduling the four Parliamentary constituencies election of Kangra, Mandi, Hamirpur, and Shimla, alongside the six Assembly constituencies slated for bye-elections.

Polling will be held in the 7th and last phase on the 1st of June 2024, from 7:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.

 citizens exercised their franchise with solemnity and conviction, cognizant of the pivotal role they played in shaping the democratic fabric of the nation.

The counting of votes be held on June 4.
