Lions Club Shimla Donates Books Worth ₹35,000 to Promote Education

The Lions Club, Shimla, continues its commitment to social welfare by contributing to civic, cultural, and educational initiatives. As part of their efforts to uplift society, the club donated reference and textbooks worth ₹35,000 to the Government Degree College, Chail-Koti, in District Shimla.

Lions Club President, Lion Man Mohan Verma, emphasized the significance of education in shaping the future. “It is always a pleasure to work hard and help the community. It becomes even more special when we work with children and education, as they are the future. They will carry forward these life skills for generations,” he said.

The donation was met with gratitude from the college community. Principal Dr. Deep Shikha, along with faculty and students, expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the generous contribution. They acknowledged that this initiative would enhance literacy and provide students with better learning opportunities.

The Lions Club team present at the event included Project Chairperson Lion R.K. Jishtu, Trust Chairman Lion Kapil Sood, Secretary Lion M.K. Sharma, Lion J.P. Sharma, and other distinguished members.
