Light tremor jolts parts of Kangra district

A Light tremor measured 2.70 jolted parts of Kangra  15 km Southe West from district headquarters Dharmshala in Himachal Pradesh this morning, the Indian Meterogical Department confirmed.
Spokesperson of Shimla Met Office said that earth quake was felt at 1028hrs on Monday in parts of Kangra district.
 The magnitude of Earthquake was 2.70 on the Richter scale and epicenter was located at 32.26 degrees North , 76.16 degrees East and 9.1 km depth near Shahpur of Kangra district about 15 km from Dharmshala and 169 km from State capital Shimla.
Earthquake was slightly felt by the people but did not cause any loss to life and property.
