Legislator received the Intl call threatening to spoil flag hoisting ceremony on 15 th August
Himachal Pradesh Assembly members informed the house that he received an international callthreatening to spoil the flag hoisting ceremony on August 15 as the message was addressed to Diector General of PoliceChief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and BJP president Jagat Prakesh Nadda.
Raising the issue under point of order Congress member Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that he was sitting in theOpposition longue outside the assembly when he got a International call in from person in a recorded message claiming him prokhalistani and threat to stall the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and BJP President J P Nadda flag hoisting function on 15 th August.
It is worthwhile to mention that number of press correspondent also being attempted to call number of time on July 30 and Aug 2.The State Cyber Crime Police Station, Shimla booked the alleged caller under section124 IPC (sedition against State), 153-A IPC (act prejudicial to maintenance of harmony), 506 IPC (intimidation), 120-B IPC (criminal conspiracy), 13 of The Unlawful Activities(Prevention) Act 1967 (commission of unlawful activity) and 66-C of IT Act 2000.
This case has been registered against one Gurpatwant Singh Pannu based on a recorded audio clip received on mobile by many journalists and citizens of Himachal Pradesh.
Himachal Pradesh Police decided to upgrade security of Mr Rajendra Vishwanth Arlekar, Governor, Mr Jai Ram Thakur, Hon’ble CM,Mr J P Nadda, BJP National President & Mr Anurag Thakur, Union Cabinet Minister have been upgraded in the State.
