JKPM Mogada won the final of Karyali Cricket Competition
Karyali Cricket Competition was organized by Himalayan Youth Sports Club Saraj Shimla Rural at Green Park Stadium. 48 teams from Shimla, Mandi, Solan, Sirmaur, Kinnaur, Kullu and Bilaspur participated in the inter-district cricket competition. The competition started on 6 April. On Monday, the final match was played between JKPM Mogra and JSM Warriors Sal.
JKPM Mogra won the final match by defeating JSM Warriors SAL.
Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank Director and Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee Training Department Chairman Hari Krishna Himral was present as the chief guest in the closing ceremony of the competition. The local people welcomed him in a traditional manner. A warm welcome was given with the sounds of drums, cymbals and shehnai and garlands. Speaking on the occasion, Himral stressed on the overall development of personality of the youth. He said that to build the future of the youth, emphasis was laid on participation in sports activities along with studies and skill development. He gave the message to stay away from drugs and use these sports to help each other, so that our society can be uplifted. Himral distributed prizes to the winning team and runner-up team. In the competition, Man of the Match, Man of the Series, Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best Fielder and Best Player of the Tournament were also awarded on the stage by the Chief Guest. On this occasion, LR Kaundal Pradhan Gram Panchayat Karyali, Nek Chand Verma BDC member, Priyanka Kashyap BDC member, Ramanand Shastri, Hari Das, Munshi Ram, Joginder Thakur, Laxmi Kaundal, Hukmi Ram Sharma, Chandra Mohan, Satish Mehta, along with the chief guest, were present. Madhu Verma, Tej Ram Sharma and other dignitaries were present. The chief guest announced to give Rs 10,000 and sports goods to the club.
The competition team was awarded a cash prize of Rs 91 thousand and the runner-up team was awarded a cash prize of Rs 41 thousand. The Man of the Series player was honored with a gold coin.
