Jairam should stop dreaming of forming a government and worry about his nine MLAs: Sukhu

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur should stop dreaming of forming the government. We have 38 MLAs. Jairam is misleading people regarding the CPS case going on in the High Court. Jairam should worry about his nine MLAs, against whom a petition is pending with the Assembly Speaker. Nine BJP MLAs had indulged in hooliganism in the Assembly during the last budget session, tearing the papers kept on the House table in front of the Speaker and waving them in the air. The Speaker has to take a decision on the petition filed by Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi. The Congress Legislature Party has urged to take a quick decision in this matter. If these nine MLAs are disqualified, then only one or two will win the re-election by mistake. Due to which the number of Congress MLAs can reach 50.

The Chief Minister was addressing the nomination rally of Congress candidate Dr. Pushpinder Verma here. He said that former independent MLA Ashish Sharma is the biggest mining mafia of Hamirpur. He has 5-6 crushers. All the ravines have been emptied, big stones are not visible at all. Former sellable MLA Ashish has made Rajendra Rana his inspiration. It would have been better if he had made Prem Kumar Dhumal his inspiration. Because Ashish has earned money only with his blessings.

He said that he will not let the public’s wealth be looted. Every backdoor of corruption will be closed. In Hamirpur, we have fielded Pushpinder Verma as an honest candidate. Send him to the assembly after winning, whatever work he tells us will be done. I am grateful to the people of Himachal Pradesh who revived democracy in the last election. Former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur left no stone unturned to topple the government through Operation Lotus, but this government is running with the blessings of the people. Six sellable former MLAs used to blackmail for their work, they never raised the problems of the people. In the last by-election, 4 of them have been sent home by the people. Now three by-elections are being held, again the people have to work to send these three independent MLAs home. The people of Hamirpur should teach a lesson to the sellable former MLA here.

He said that the sellable former MLA always talked about tenders, used to show off his MLA status to the officers. The independent former MLA of Hamirpur has sold himself in the political market of BJP. I gave everything in Hamirpur that the former MLA asked for, because Hamirpur is my home. It is time to teach the former MLA a lesson. We have fielded powerful candidates on all three seats, we will win these seats.

The people of Hamirpur are very intelligent, they want their own Chief Minister, but the MLAs elected by their votes sell themselves in the political market.

He said that Rs 1500 is being deposited in the accounts of women. Except Hamirpur assembly seat

Rs 4500 will be deposited in the accounts of women of the other four assembly constituencies of the district on June 26. A program for this will be organized in Jwalamukhi. At the end of the rally, the Chief Minister inducted District Council Vice President Naresh Darji into the Congress. He left the BJP and joined the Congress.

Congress State President Pratibha Singh said that Pushpinder Verma is a true public servant. Work day and night to ensure his victory. This by-election is being held because former independent MLA Ashish sold his integrity, for which the BJP is responsible. Unprecedented development work has been done during the 16-month tenure of the Congress government. The government has fulfilled 5 guarantees including OPS, women pension of Rs 1500. Apart from this, many schemes have been implemented for the people.

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that it is a God given opportunity that Pushpinder Verma had to reach the Vidhan Sabha. The people of Hamirpur have to prove that they are with the Chief Minister. I don’t know why the leaders here become active to remove the Chief Minister of Hamirpur. First a conspiracy was hatched to remove Prem Kumar Dhumal, now a conspiracy has been hatched to remove Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and topple the government. The victory of Hamirpur will send a message to the whole of Himachal Pradesh that the people have taught a tough lesson to those who conspired against the Chief Minister. The Sukhu government is stable, our MLAs have increased from 34 to 38. A bus station is being built in Hamirpur with a cost of 60 crores, drinking water schemes worth Rs 2000 crores are being made. If the Chief Minister was not from Hamirpur, no one would have got these development works done. The people should strengthen the Chief Minister of their district.

Pushpinder Verma said that this election has been imposed on the people of Hamirpur. This situation has arisen due to the former independent MLA selling himself in the political market of BJP. Former MLA Ashish Sharma has stabbed Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu in the back. I served the people for 14 months, while former MLA Ashish was busy serving himself by looting mineral wealth from the ravines. This fight is between the mafia and the public, in which people’s power will definitely win over money power with your blessings.

During this, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Congress State President Pratibha Singh, Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani, Acting State President Chandrashekhar, Sujanpur MLA Captain Ranjit Singh, Kutlahar MLA Vivek Sharma, KCC Bank Chairman Kuldeep Pathania, Chairman Ramchandra Pathania, Hamirpur Assembly Incharge Dr. Dheeraj Desai, APMC Chairman Ajay Sharma, former CPS Anita Verma, former Minister Ranjeet Verma, District President Suman Bharti, former MLA Manjeet Dogra, former candidate from Barsar Subhash Dhatwalia, former District President Naresh Thakur, Sujanpur Block President Rajendra Verma, Hamirpur Municipal Council President Manoj Minhas and District Council Vice President Naresh Kumar Darji etc were present.
