Jagat Prakash Nadda elected as the leader of the House in Rajya Sabha
Union Minister and BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda has been made the Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha. On this occasion, all the BJP leaders congratulated JP Nadda and wished him. Among those who congratulated were BJP State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, Union Minister Anurag Thakur, General Secretary Organization Siddharthan, General Secretary Dr. Sikandar Kumar, Bihari Lal Sharma, Trilok Kapoor, Rajya Sabha MP Harsh Mahajan, Indu Goswami, Parliamentary constituency in-charge Sukhram Chaudhary, Vipin Parmar, Bikram Thakur, Govind Thakur, Reena Kashyap, Rashmi Sood, Rakesh Jamwal, Randhir Sharma, Karan Nanda, Trilok Jamwal, Balbir Verma, Rajiv Saizal, Dr. Janak Raj, Hans Raj, Vinod Kumar, Lokindra, Deepraj Kapoor, Dilip Thakur.
Jagat Prakash Nadda will replace Piyush Goyal in the Rajya Sabha. Nanda said that Nadda also has the responsibility of the Union Health Ministry and the Ministry of Fertilizers and Chemicals. Nadda’s name has also been updated as the leader of the House on the Rajya Sabha website. JP Nadda started his political journey from Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad i.e. ABVP. He became the President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in 1991. He was the Health Minister in the first term of the Modi government and was elected to the Rajya Sabha in the year 2012. Nadda also held the responsibility of the Union Health Ministry in the first term of the Modi government. After that, in 2019, he was given the responsibility of the post of Working President of BJP. Then in 2020, when Amit Shah became the Union Home Minister, he was made the full president of the party.
