Jagat Negi calls for efficiency and discipline in revenue department

A delegation of the Himachal Pradesh DC’s office employees Union, led by its President Lokender Chauhan met Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi today and placed forth the various demands related to recruitment and promotion rules.

Jagat Singh Negi emphasized that public service is the government’s primary objective and directed revenue staff to ensure efficiency and discipline to facilitate the people in a time bound manner.

The Union raised issues related to recruitment and promotion rules for Naib Tehsildars, Superintendents and Patwaris, and demanded creation of essential posts in tehsils.

The Minister assured that all genuine demands would be considered sympathetically and resolved in a time-bound manner.

Senior revenue officials were present during the meeting.

Revenue Minister interacts with representatives of hydropower projects on land revenue issue

Revenue, and Tribal Development Minister Jagat Singh Negi today chaired a meeting with representatives of hydropower projects focusing mainly on issues related to the payment of land revenue.

The Minister heard the suggestions given by the representatives of the project developers  and stated that the State Government has recently completed the process of special assessment of land revenue and has invited suggestions from all stakeholders before after which final decision would be taken.

Additional Chief Secretary Kamlesh Kumar Pant, Director Energy Rakesh Kumar Prajapati, Settlement Officer Shimla Division Kumud Singh, Additional Secretary Revenue Anil Kumar were present in the meeting amongst others.
