Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Dadgi School


The 78th Independence Day celebrations were held with great fervour at Government Senior Secondary School, Dadgi. Acting Principal Dharam Prakash Verma hoisted the flag and took the salute. The NSS, Eco Club, Scout and Guide unit of the school and the students of all the four houses saluted and paid homage to the grateful nation. During this, the students made the atmosphere patriotic and a glimpse of Himachali folk culture was also presented. Vanita paid homage to the martyrs through the poem ‘Mera Desh’, while Sneha and Sania Verma expressed their views on the contribution of martyrs in the freedom movement. Neha and Gungun mesmerized the audience with patriotic songs. The Legion dance of the students of class 10 was the subject of attraction. The cultural glimpse of Himachal was presented through folk dance under the leadership of Muskan Tarusha, Bhavana, Pooja. On this auspicious occasion, two ex-servicemen teachers working in the school, Ravindra Kumar and Jogendra Kumar were honoured by presenting them mementoes in view of their incomparable services to the nation for 17-18 years. The programme was conducted by Hindi lecturer Vijay Pant. Most of the teachers and non-teaching staff were present on this occasion.
