In the Gram Sabha meeting in Peeran, an oath was taken to make Himachal Chitta free
To achieve a chit-free Himachal, a special Gram Sabha meeting was held in the Junga area’s Gram Panchayat Peeran. The meeting was chaired by Pradhan Kiran Sharma. On this occasion, Panchayat Secretary Rajiv Thakur administered an oath to the people present in the Gram Sabha to make Himachal chit-free.
Kiran Sharma urged parents to monitor their children’s activities so they don’t ruin their lives by falling prey to drugs. She said the government has pledged to make Himachal free of drugs, and everyone must step forward to achieve this.
In the Gram Sabha meeting, Hetram, a pharmacist serving at the Primary Health Center, Trahai, provided detailed information about the ill effects of chitta. He said that chitta is a substance made from opium, the consumption of which has ruined many young people’s precious lives. He explained that chitta consumption is harmful to the human body and causes many ailments such as fatigue, dizziness, nausea, irritability, headaches, and tremors. On this occasion, Shubham Sharma, Patwari, offered his suggestions for making Himachal chitta-free.
Panchayat Deputy Pradhan Sanjeev Mehta and all the ward members, Village Organization’s Pradhan Bimla Verma, Secretary Vidya Kumari, Anganwadi worker Usha Verma, Kanta Sharma and other women were present in the meeting.
Similarly, a special Gram Sabha meeting was held in the Koti Gram Panchayat. It was chaired by Pradhan Ramesh Sharma. On this occasion, a pledge was taken to make Himachal free of chitta. Dr. Nikita, medical officer at CHC Koti, informed the public about the harmful effects of chitta.
