IMD issues dense fog alert in 6 districts of Himachal
Indian Meteorological department on Thursday issued dense the fog alert in the six districts of state directing commutter to drive carefully in the morning hours during next 48 hrs.
IMD in a yellow alert said that dense fog may engulf the isolated pockets during next two days in the districts of Mandi, Bilaspur, Una, Kangra, Sirmaur (Paonta Sahib & Dhola Kuan) and Solan (Baddi and Nalagarh) during morning hours.
The weather would be mainly dry but fog conditions in the six districts especially low-lying areas and along Rivers and dams may disrupt the vehicular traffic.
Issuing advisory to the commuter the weathermen cautioned that the should drive and commute carefully during morning hours.
The prevailing dry coldwave may also impact the standing crops and young plants as it could cause ths cold injury and dead tissues (Yellowing of tip), Fog causes stunted growth, discoloration and wilting.
The prevailing dry weather conditions would last till January 8 in the state.
