IIM Sirmaur Celebrates Cultural Unity with ‘Smaran 3.0’ Grand Finale
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sirmaur concluded
its month-long Hindi celebrations with a vibrant cultural evening, ‘Smaran 3.0’, reaffirming
the event’s role as more than just a celebration—it stood as a powerful symbol of cultural and
emotional unity among students, faculty, staff, and their families.
Held on October 14 as the culmination of Hindi Month (September 14 – October 14), the
event brought together the IIM Sirmaur community in a showcase of language, art, and
tradition. Over the course of the month, the institute organized a variety of Hindi-language
competitions, including essay writing, calligraphy, dictation, poetry recitation, and music.
These events were open not only to students but also to staff and their family members,
encouraging broad-based participation.
The finale, ‘Smaran 3.0’, lit up the campus with a stunning array of performances in music,
dance, theatre, and other art forms. The enthusiasm of both performers and audience
members created a lively, high-energy atmosphere. The event was marked by its rich
diversity of talent and its meticulous execution, earning praise from attendees and institute
leadership alike.
The credit for the program’s success goes to the organizing team, which included Dr Atul
Agrawal, Vaibhav Kumar, Vaibhav Mishra, Shreya Chakravarty, Snigdha Singh,
Kamal Mittal, Tupur Mishra, Shaumili Haldar, Ekajoli Das, Vivek Kumar, and
Komalika. Their behind-the-scenes dedication ensured that the evening ran seamlessly and
left a lasting impression on all present.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Atul Agrawal, the event coordinator, shared that winners of
various competitions were honored during the closing ceremony. Institute Director Dr.
Prafulla Agnihotri presented awards to the top three performers in each category, and
applauded the efforts of all participants, organizers, and supporters.
In his address, Dr. Agnihotri emphasized the importance of cultural engagement in academic
spaces and expressed hope that IIM Sirmaur would continue to foster such initiatives with the
same spirit of enthusiasm and harmony in the future.
