HPU to organise Seminar on INDIA’S G20 PRESIDENCY AND THE GLOBAL VISION

As part of the Pre-activities under G20 University Connect programme Himachal
Pradesh University, Shimla is organising a national seminar on the theme INDIA’S G20
PRESIDENCY AND THE GLOBAL VISION on June 23, 2023. India’s presidency of
the Group of Twenty (G20) is of immense importance to the world in general and the global
south in particular as it is in central position to shape the global economic policies and
address critical global challenges. As a platform that brings together the world’s major
economies, the G20 provides the Indian leadership a golden opportunity to mark its vision
about the world and lead global discussions and drive impactful change. India’s G20 Culture
Working Group’s ‘Culture Unites All’ is a campaign to highlight India’s unwavering belief in
multilateralism based on peaceful coexistence among diverse cultures and communities. The
Indian agenda of global peace and harmony in view of its motto Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam
envisions a world free of violence, conflict and environmental challenges. The seminar aims
at deliberations over the following subthemes:  Inclusive Economic Growth and Sustainable Development  India’s Multilateral Initiatives and Soft Power Diplomacy

 Climate Change and Renewable Energy,  Assessing India’s 2030 Agenda
