HPU ectends admission date for under graduate classes

Himachal Pradesh University has now again extended the date of admission in UG in 135 colleges till August 5, 2022. Students could also apply online till August 5 and the first merit list would be displayed in each colleges campus on August 6.  Spokesperson of JPU said in a press release issued here today that date has been extended due to the delayed declaration of CBSE and ICSE 12th results.  HPU Dean Prof.  Kul Bhushan Chandel said that the Vice Chancellor Prof.  Jyoti Prakash has given approval to extend the date.  A notification in this regard would be issued by the registrar today.  He said that the time for applying has been extended on the demand of the students.  HPU had earlier fixed July 20 as the last date which was also extend  till August 31 due to the delayed results of CBSE and ICSE. The application deadline ended on Sunday night.  Now admission portals remained be open till August 5 for submission of application forms in the colleges related to the university. On 6th August the colleges would release the UG 1st Year 1st Admission Merit. In such a situation, it has brought relief to those students who were not able to take admission till now. It would likely to effect commencement of acedemic session as it could start little late . Source said that taking number of applicants in mind it is difficult to have admission in Govt Degrees College Sanjauli however seats are vaccant in RKMV and Rajiv Gandhi Degree college Kotshera .
