HP police to upgrade security categorisation to Guv, CM , BJP Prez & union minsters
Himachal Pradesh Police decided to upgrade security categorisation of Himachal Governor, Chief Minister, BJP national Chief and Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting.
A social media press builtin issued by the State Police headquarter here today following three calls of recorded message by Prokhalistani Sikh International Council outfit said that it decided to take multi-pronged strategy to address the alleged threat to stall Chief Minister flag hoisting ceremony on 15 August.
Press statement issued by the police spokesperson said that today some Shimla based media persons received pre- recorded message from overseas pro-Khalistani elements. HP Police is seized of the matter.
Spokesperson also said that it had taken Following action on the alleged threat including to investigate the alleged threat.
Investigation of this case has been handed over to Cyber Cell of the CID.
The security categorisation of Mr Rajendra Vishwanth Arlekar, Governor, Mr Jai Ram Thakur, Hon’ble CM, Mr J P Nadda, BJP National President & Mr Anurag Thakur, Union Cabinet Minister have been upgraded in the State.
Intensified screening of incoming vehicles at the inter-State borders.
The information has been shared with the authorities in the State & the Central Governments.
We have put in place strong security and law & order measures so that the State, including the Independence Day celebrations remain peaceful, the spokesperson added.
