HP announce to bear expenses of students stranding in Ukraine

Jai Ram Government announced in the state assembly on Saturday that the state would bear the expenses of all stranded Himachal Students in Ukraine as the state government has already informed the Union External Affairs Minister demanding evacuation of 130 students. The Chief Minister making statements in the house and outside the assembly also said that the state government is in touch with the Union External Affairs Ministry and HRTC and HPTDC buses were waiting outside Himachal Bhawan Delhi to bring them in state. Mr Thakur said that resident commissioner at Delhi directed the RTPCR testing. They would be brought back to the state in HRTC and HPTDC buses by the state bearing their expenses. State would also bear the expenses of other stranded persons in Ukraine for their return journey. CM stated that 32 students are coming in Air India flight today, moreover this number is expected to be too high. “Around 130 persons from the state are stranded in the war affected nation. According to information shared by the union government 32 students are coming to India in different flights as 15 persons are scheduled to arrive at Delhi Airport at 7 pm and 17 are to land in Mumbai at 2 pmin two Airflight. The government is in constant touch with the Centre and chief minister and Chief Secretary talked with Union External Affairs minister S Jaishankar and MEA Secretary today to ensure early evacuation of students, Chief Minister said that education of stranded Indians are made from land routes from Poland, Hungary and Romania’s as airspace of Ukraine closed for the flights.
