Himachal State Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau nabs JE red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 10K

A sleuth of the State Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau arrested a Junior Engineer in sub-division Sangrah of Sirmaur district while he was accepting bribe money of Rs 10,000 in lieu of passing a road estimate. 

On the input of a complaint vigilance team put a net on the junior engineer Pradeep Kumar Sharma who was posted in the BDO Office Sangrah. He was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.

 According to the information, a bribe was sought by the junior engineer in lieu of making an estimate of the Palar Khad link road from Kharadiya Morh.

The Vigilance has taken this action only on the complaint of Satpal Tomar, deputy head of Gram Panchayat. After investigating the allegations of the complainant, the Vigilance team laid the trap.

 A vigilance team led by DSP Taranjeet reached Sangrah and laid a trap. As soon as the junior engineer took the bribe of 10 thousand in the office, immediately JE was arrested red-handed.

 A case has been registered at Nahan police station. The Vigilance team brought the accused junior engineer to Nahan, where he was presented before the court.

The orders for a departmental inquiry were issued by the department and also suspend the accused from the service with immediate effect.
