Himachal records one death and 1,975 positive cases

Himachal Pradesh continuous to be in grip of the Coronavirus and as many as 1,975 more positive cases were recorded in the state on Friday.
A young person aged thirty-five years also succumbed to the virus in Solan district today raising the number of total fatalities to 3,875.
Meanwhile, the number of active cases in the state has reached the mark of 9,529.
A spokesman of the HP Health Department said today that as many as 11,035 samples were tested in the state today out of which 1,975 were found infected and Shimla district led the table with 584 cases. Solan district followed Shimla with 387 cases. Kangra got 220 cases today followed by Una-210, Sirmaur-169, Mandi-143, Chamba-83, Bilaspur-71, Hamirpur-41, Kullu-45, Kinnaur-22, and no case was found in Lahaul and Spiti.
He said that a number of 190 older cases were cured in Kangra and 134 in Solan and 69 in Hamirpur district respectively.
The spokesman said that the total number of confirmed cases in the state stood at 2, 40,330 and that of cured cases at 2, 26,892.
The latest report says that HP BJP chief, Suresh Kashyap, HP Education Minister, Govind Thakur, and Sanjay Tandon, the HP BJP joint party in charge have been turned positive and have got them isolated.
On other hand, the state government today appealed to the people to abide by the latest Covid guidelines for their own benefits and welfare and refrain from visiting outi9sde where there was a huge rush of the people.
The state spokesman also asked the people to wear face masks which was the need of the hour and also maintain social distance.
