Himachal Pradesh reported 574 new cases of Covid
Himachal Pradesh reported 574 new cases of Covid in the past 24 hours , state Health Department said on Friday . A spokesperson of the HP Health Department said that a maximum of 144 positive cases were reported from the district of Kangra , followed by Hamirpur 85 , Shimla 80 , Solan 79 , Sirmaur 49 , Kullu 34 , Una 32 , Bilaspur 20 , Kinnaur 9 , Chamba 7. No case was found in the district of Lahaul and Spiti today . The said that the number of active cases in the state has risen to 2,153 and that of total confirmed cases to 2 , 30,859 . Similarly, the number of cured cases has also risen to 2, 24,811. The said that the number of total fatalities had also gone up to 3,864 with the death of one young person in the Mandi district .
Meanwhile , Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur , who was in the Kandraur area of the Bilaspur district today , said that the situation on the Corona front was not favorable and if the need arises , more strict measures would be taken . He appealed to the people to abide by the Covid protocols and wear face masks and practice social distancing. Thakur said that there was no plan to close the religious places due to the surge in the Covid activities but added that the langars ( free meal service ) had been stopped in all the temples that were under the control of the government – owned trusts .
