Himachal Pradesh Congress participated in Satyagraha in support of Rahul Gandhi at Ridge Shimla
On the call of countrywide Satyagraha in support of Rahul Gandhi, former National President of All India Congress Committee, Congress leaders, office bearers and workers participated in Satyagraha in all the district headquarters and block headquarters of the state today.
In front of the statue of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi at the Ridge Maidan in Shimla, state Congress leaders and workers carrying the Congress party flag and placards with Rahul Gandhi’s picture in their hands expressed their anger against the BJP government at the Center and performed Satyagraha.
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu under the leadership of District Congress Committee Shimla Urban President Jitendra Chaudhary, Other cabinet colleagues and a large number of successive Congress leaders participated in this Satyagraha. Later, under the leadership of the Chief Minister, a candle march was also carried out by the party leaders from Ridge Maidan to Scandal Point.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the Central Government was enthralled by the success of senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra and that is why his Parliament membership was canceled within just twenty-four hours. He said that Rahul Gandhi remained the voice of the whole country in the Parliament and was opposing the central government on burning issues, so the Modi government has unsuccessfully tried to suppress the voice of democracy.
Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the Congress party is firmly standing with Rahul Gandhi and will expose the conspiracy of the central government among the public. In this sequence, today the Congress party is organizing Satyagraha at many places across the country.
In an informal interaction with the media, Congress leaders accused the BJP government at the Center of a well-planned strategy to oust their leader Rahul Gandhi from the House. He said that the Congress is sitting on the Satyagraha today against this injustice and will start a countrywide Save the Constitution movement from tomorrow. He said that March 24 would be remembered as a black day in the history of the country. He said that the Congress stands in solidarity with Rahul Gandhi. BJP cannot cure Rahul Gandhi’s voice.
