Himachal MP’s & Anurag Thakur met Gadkari, demand early approval for Lathiani-Mandli bridge at a cost of 900 Cr

MPs from Himachal under the leadership of Shri Anurag Thakur met Road Transport Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari and demanded early approval of new projects

Himachal MPs Mr. Kishan Kapoor, Mr. Suresh Kashyap, Ms. Indu Goswami and Mr. Sikander Kumar and former minister Mr. Virendra Kanwar, under the leadership of Union Minister for Information Broadcasting and Sports and Youth Affairs Mr. Anurag Singh Thakur met Road Transport Minister Mr. Nitin Gadkari After meeting, demanded early approval of new projects, in which Lathiyani-Mandali bridge at a cost of 900 crores was prominently demanded and thanked him for all the old gifts in the form of roads.

Shri Anurag Singh Thakur said “Roads are the lifeline of our hilly state of Himachal Pradesh with limited rail and air connectivity. Road is the most important link to speed up industrial and other development projects, increase tourism and state revenue. In view of this, today, along with our Himachal’s Shimla MP Mr. Suresh Kashyap, Kangra-Chamba MP Mr. Kishan Kapoor, Rajya Sabha MP Ms. Indu Goswami and Dr. Mr. Sikander Kumar and former minister Mr. Virendra Kanwar, Union Road Transport Minister Mr. After meeting Nitin Gadkari, the demand for early approval of new projects was placed in front of him. Union Road Transport Minister Mr. Nitin Gadkari listened to our demands seriously and assured us to take a positive decision in this direction in the interest of Himachal Pradesh.

Mr. Anurag Singh Thakur said “The missing link between Bihru to Lathiyani and Lathiyani-Mandali bridge on Govindsagar Lake from 36/0 kilometer to 42/0 kilometer on NH 503A in Kutlehar constituency of my parliamentary constituency will cost around 900 crores. 12.91 crore for improvement works on 0/0 to 15/600 Rakkad-Chaplah-Upper Bharoli-Tikkar-Shantla Road in district Kangra. Along with this, demand for four-lane highway for Mataur-Hamirpur Shimla, four-lane Pathankot-Mandi highway which is being four-lane up to Paraur up to Mandi and demand for Nahan bypass. While the approval of these roads will facilitate traffic, on the other hand farmers, soldiers and tourists will get benefited from it. Honorable Shri Nitin Gadkari ji listened to all the aspects with full attention and has spoken about its proper implementation.

Shri Anurag Singh Thakur said, “Respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has always considered Himachal Pradesh as his second home and has left no stone unturned in giving gifts to Himachal. In the past too, the Modi government has tried to promote connectivity in Himachal by giving projects like Kiratpur-Nerchowk Highway, Parwanoo-Shimla Highway, Dharamsala-Mataur-Shimla Highway, Mukerian-Pathankot, Zirakpur-Parwanoo, Takroli-Kullu, Parwanoo-Solan-Shimla. Work has been done, no gap will be left in the development of the state in future also.
