Himachal Mahila Congress celebrates 54th statehood day

The 54th full statehood day of the state was celebrated with great enthusiasm today at the state Congress headquarters Rajiv Bhawan. During this, State Mahila Congress President Zainab Chandel, under the leadership of Seva Dal, hoisted the national flag in the courtyard of the Congress office and party officials saluted and sang the national anthem. During this, Scheduled Caste Department Chairman Amit Nanda was also present.

During this, the speakers said that the former Prime Minister of the country, Late Indira Gandhi had given a great gift to the state by giving it the status of a full state on this day in 1971. He said that on one hand, in the construction of the state, the first Chief Minister of the state, Late Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar can never be forgotten, while in the construction of modern Himachal, the six-time Chief Minister of the state, Late Virbhadra Singh will also always be remembered.

Speakers said that whatever development has taken place in the state today has been the contribution of the Congress governments. He said that even today the Congress government in the state, under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, is giving importance to public welfare, considering public welfare works as paramount.
