Himachal High Court deferred the  hearing on the withdrawal of political cases

Himachal Pradesh High Court deferred the hearing of the case related to the withdrawal of criminal cases registered by the government against MLAs, MPs, and former members to January 4.

In this case, the court had sought important information from the government.

The court had sought copies of the charge sheets of cases related to those MLAs or MPs whose cases the government wants to withdraw.

The hearing on the case was postponed due to the information filed by the government not being on record. It is noteworthy that the State Home Department has sought permission from the court to withdraw 65 such cases against honorable persons which according to the government were filed due to political malice.

The government has arrested three of Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, one of Mukesh Agnihotri, three of Vikramaditya Singh, two of Anirudh Singh, six of Kuldeep Singh Rathore, 26 of Rakesh Singha, 4 of Bhuvneshwar Gaur, 3 of Lokinder Kumar, 2 of Ajay Solanki and 2 of Jitendra Chaudhary. , Rajan Sushant, Harish Janartha, Manish Thakur, Rajni Patil, Jagat Singh Negi, Nikhil Kumar, Satpal Raizada, Manoj Kumar, Sudarshan, Tilak Raj, Rajesh Dharmani, Vijay Agnihotri, Naseer Rawat, Vikram Jaryal, Abhimanyu Jaryal, Kush Kumar, Neeraj Permission has been sought to withdraw one case each of Bharti, Rakesh Pathania, Rajeev Rana, Vipin Parmar, Parveen Sharma, Narendra Kumar, Lokendra Kumar, Meira Thakur, Ram Krishna Shandil, Janav Chandel, Ravi Thakur.

Through the application filed by the government, the court has been told that criminal cases are going on against the Chief Minister , Deputy Chief Minister and other MLAs in the courts of 10 districts of the state. No case has been registered in Solan and Lahaul Spiti.

The government says that these criminal cases have been registered against the MLAs due to political hatred. These cases registered against current and former MLAs are related to political opposition.

Through the application, the court has been told that this application has not been filed with any hidden purpose. The court was told that as per the decision of the Supreme Court, special judges have been appointed to try the criminal cases registered against the MLA and MP. But so far only seven cases have been disposed off.

In compliance with the decision of the Supreme Court, the High Court has constituted special courts and ordered that the cases registered against present and former MLAs and MPs should be disposed of expeditiously.
