Himachal Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla admitted to hospital, undergoing treatment at Kailash Hospital in Noida

Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla has been admitted to the hospital after complaining of chest pain. He is being treated at Kailash Hospital, Noida Sector 27. He has been admitted in CCU. Doctors say that his condition is stable now and kept under medical investigated and supervision. Shiv Pratap Shukla is the 29th Governor of Himachal Pradesh. He was born on April 1, 1952 in village Rudrapur post-Khajani of Gorakhpur district. He got his primary education from Rudrapur Khajni village and class nine in law graduation in Gorakhpur. He also served as the organization minister of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. He joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 1983. In the year 1989, as a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he was elected as a member of the Legislative Assembly for the first time from Gorakhpur Nagar Assembly Constituency. After this, he was re-elected in the year 1991. Took over the charge of Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Elementary Education, Adult Education and Languages Department in the government of Chief Minister Kalyan Singh of the first BJP government in Uttar Pradesh. He also discharged the responsibility of Horticulture Department, Sports, Youth Welfare and Food Processing Department.

He was re-elected to the Legislative Assembly in the year 1993. After being elected to the Legislative Assembly for the fourth time in the year 1996, he successfully discharged his duties as the Cabinet Minister of Prison Law and Justice and Rural Development Department in the government of Kalyan Singh, Ram Prakash Gupta and Rajnath Singh. Elected as a member of Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh on 10 June 2016. On 3 September 2017, took over the responsibility of the Minister of State for Finance in the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He ensured the successful discharge of his duties as a Rajya Sabha member till July 4, 2022.
