Himachal Faces Unpredictable Weather: Farmers and Orchardists Bear the Brunt
The weather in Himachal Pradesh has been quite unpredictable over the past few days, leading to continuous rainfall in several districts. Today, the weather department has issued a yellow alert for Chamba and Kangra, indicating the possibility of rain.
According to the weather department, Chamba and Kangra are expected to receive rain today. On May 12, a yellow alert has been issued for Shimla, Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Solan, Sirmaur, Kinnaur, and Lahaul-Spiti, with strong winds and thunderstorms likely. After this period, the weather is expected to clear up across the state, and temperatures will gradually rise. The maximum temperature has fluctuated by one to two degrees Celsius between cloudy, sunny, and rainy conditions. Some areas have seen a decrease, while others have seen an increase. Over the next 24 hours, no significant changes are expected in the minimum and maximum temperatures across many parts of the state. However, the minimum temperature is expected to gradually drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius over the next 2-3 days, while the maximum temperature is expected to gradually increase by 3-4 degrees Celsius over the next 4-5 days.

Rainfall has been 31% above normal until May 10 this month, according to the weather department. The highest rainfall has been recorded in Sirmaur, where it has been above normal. Shimla, Kangra, Mandi, Hamirpur, Solan, and Una have also received above-normal rainfall. Rainfall recorded in various places is as follows: Bilaspur 46.9 mm, Chamba 31.7 mm, Hamirpur 47 mm, Kangra 38.3 mm, Kinnaur 5.1 mm, Kullu 18.7 mm, Lahaul-Spiti 11.5 mm, Mandi 49.1 mm, Shimla 53.5 mm, Sirmaur 60.2 mm, Solan 55.8 mm, Una 20.6 mm.
