Himachal Electricity Board employees up in arms against Govt 

Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Employees and Engineers unions joint front held a statewide demonstration against the Congress Government of Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu seeking implementation of the Old Pension Scheme in the board.

According to the joint action front, Convenor Hira Lal stated that the protest was complete and the main Dharna (picketing)was held outside the headquarters of HPSEB Kumarhouse at 1330 hrs on Thursday.

He said that under the Joint Front of HPSEB Employees & Engineers, a call for the statewide demonstration was given during lunch hours onward in front of HPSEB offices. 

The dialogue was held between HPSEB Management at Shimla on Wednesday but unions proceeded on symbolic Dharna as they are not ready to agree to amend the demand of the OPS scheme before the state finances department.

Including the reemployment of former chairman of HPSEB and IAS officer Mr. Ram Subhag Singh after retirement in the CMO office employees are accusing the Sukhu government to compromise with the interest of the Board
