Himachal braces for relief from heatwave with forecasted rain and snow

The heat is wreaking havoc across the country these days. The Sun God is fierce in the mountains too. Due to the rising temperature in Himachal, people are forced to bear the brunt of the heat. However, now the weather in the state is going to change. After the scorching heat, drops of relief are going to fall in the state. Due to which people will get relief from the scorching sun and heat.

Yellow Alert Issued for Rain and Snowfall in Himachal

According to the Indian Meteorological Department Shimla, the weather is going to deteriorate in the state for the next 4 days. Due to which there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in the state from June 4 to June 7. On June 4 and 5, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert regarding rain and snowfall in the state. While on June 6 and 7, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in the higher parts of the state and rain in the middle and lower areas.

Una has been the hottest and Kaza the coldest

Even on Sunday, people in the state were troubled by the heat. However, light clouds were also seen in the sky in some parts of the state. The mercury in Himachal has gone above 40. Una was the hottest place with a temperature of 43.6 degrees Celsius. While Kaza was the coldest place with 2 degrees Celsius.

Temperatures are rising in the state of Himachal Pradesh

The temperature in Shimla was 28.2 degrees Celsius, Dharamshala 36.6, Solan 34, Nahan 37.7, Chamba 38.8, Kullu 37, Manali 27.9, Keylong 19, Bilaspur 40, Hamirpur 39.6 and Kalpa 24.2 degrees Celsius.

Forest Fires have Increased the Temperature

While people across the country are troubled by the scorching heat and heatwave, this year the heat has broken all records in Himachal as well. The forests that keep the temperature low and the environment conducive to climate in the state are burning fiercely these days. Due to which the mercury has increased even more. During the fire season in the state, most of the forests caught fire, which further increased the heatwave in the mountains.
