Himachal Pradesh Assembly adjourned on Tuesday after the launch break after a ruckus in the house on the demand of voting on the cut motion. As the house assembled at 1400 hrs. After the launch break, the speaker stated that the quorum was not there in the house. The house was adjourned till having sufficient quorum and it was reassembled at 1415 hrs.
Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur expressed displeasure over the ruling of the speaker stating that the cut motion was rejected with the voice votes. However, the speaker expunged the remarks of the leader of the Opposition later.
Revenue minister Jagat Singh Negi stated that the leader of the opposition was wrong to make aspersion on the chair stating that the ruling of the speaker was correct as no voting could be held on the cut motion. He said that the Leader of the Opposition should have respect for the chair and not drag the speaker into this matter. He said that the ruling of the chair was correct as the number of treasury benches who said yes was more than members of the opposition bench sitting in the house on their seats.

However, the members of the opposition benches stood on their toes in the house and shouted salogerning forcing the speaker to adjourn the house till day.
