High Reaches receive another spell of Snowfall,134 road disrupts by heavy snowfall

The high reaches of Himachal Pradesh received another moderate to heavy spell of Snowfall in many places disrupting vehicular traffic on 134 roads, communication, water and power supply in many tribal areas of the state, the Met Office confirmed.
The gateway to Lahaul Spiti district 13050 ft high Rohtang pass recorded 2.5 ft(75cm) snowfall, Atal tunnal 1.5 ft (45cm), Darcha and Dodra Kawar in Shimla 30 cm.
 Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti 20 cm, Koksar and Sisu 18 cm, Chittkul in Kinnaur 15.24 cm, Udaipur ten cm,  Jalori pass in Kullu: nine cm, Sangla  7.62 cm, Kalpa and Lossar, Hansa, Tundi in Lahaul 5 cm each, Kaza 2.5 cm and Chopal in Shimla eight cm.
Tourist resort Kufri, Narkanda, Kharapather, Rohru in Shimla and Nichar of Kinnuar also had light snowfall.
Total 134 road became snowbound in Chamba, Mandi, Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnuar district including two National national highways, 132 link and one state highway as NH – 505 blocked from Gramphu to Lossar and NH – 03 from Darcha to Sarchu.
Power supply is down in 90 place including 58 distribution Transformer Regions are disrupted in Lahaul division, 18 in Kullu,  three in Manali and 11 in Tissa of Chamba district. Water pipes freeze due to subzero temperature in six places in Spiti Subdivision of Lahaul Spiti.
Manali recorded 24 mm rain, Chamba 23 mm, Banjar in Kullu18.4 mm, Mandi 17 mm, Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti 15 mm, Bhuntar in Kullu 14 mm, Palampur in Kangra 12 mm, Sundernagar 11 mm, Nahan and Poanta-Shaib in Sirmaur, Kangra and Kalpa in Kinnuar seven mm each, Hamirpur five and Bilaspur and Mandi 4.5 mm each , Dharmshala four mm, Jubberhati three mm and Shimla 2.4 mm.
Minimum temperature of Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti was minus three degrees, Kufri minus one , Kalpa minus 0.1 degrees and tourist resort Manali at zero degrees Celsius.
Tourist resort Dalhousie 2.6 degress, Sundernagar in Mandi was 2.7 degrees, Shimla five degrees, Solan six and Chamba 6.7 degrees, Bhuntar 6.9 degree, Dharmshala 7.8 degrees, Kangra eight, Hamirpur 10.2mm, Bilaspur 10.5 mm, Una 10.6 mm and Nahan 11 degrees respectively.
The met office forecast mainly dry weather in next 24 hrs.
