High reaches of HP drape in white Snowfall, Light rain ended prolonged dry spell

The high reaches of Himachal Pradesh draped the white blanket of snowfall increasing shivering cold wave in the entire state along intermittent to light rainfall ending month long dry spell, the Met Office said.
The high reaches of Lahaul Spiti including Rohtang pass, Kunzum pass, Lady of Keylong, Baralacha , Saptarshi hills and Goshal hills, Kinner-Kailash ranges of Kinnuar, Manimahesh and Pangi and Bharmaur of Chamba, Dhauldhar of Kangra district registered another spell of Snowfall.
Kaza in Lahaul-Spiti recorded ten cm snowfall on 2nd day today.
The Met Office said that Koksar in Lahaul-Spiti had 8.09 cm snowfall , Gondla 5.2 cm , Hansa five cm, Sumdo in Kinnaur 3.7 mm and district headquarters Keylong three cm.
 Minimum temperature fell to minus 1.7 degree Celsius last night at Keylong however Maximum temperature of Poanta-Shaib in Sirmaur was 19.3 degrees in last 24 hrs.
Ending prolonged dry spell it was raining intermittently since last night as tourist resort Manali received eight mm rain, Banjar in Kullu 7.2 mm, Sangala in Kinnuar 6.8 mm, Kalpa 5.8 mm, Bilaspur three mm, Sundernagar and Mandi two mm, Shimla and Jubberhati one mm each.
Dark clouds are hovering over the sky and foggy weather is keeping the visibility low in most places in the state.
 The day temperature plummeting to five to six degrees below normal owing to inclement weather conditions. State is in the grip of shivering cold wave after plunging down temperature in inclement weather and cloudy weather since last two days.
Met Office forecast rain and snow at isolated places today in mid and high reaches in next 24hrs.
