High Court orders CBI probe in Vimal Negi case, truth prevails: Bindal
Shimla, Dr. Rajiv Bindal, State President of Bharatiya Janata Party said that the mysterious death of Vimal Kumar Negi has created such an atmosphere in the entire Himachal Pradesh that the present Congress government of the state has come under fire. Immediately after the death of Vimal Negi, a state of chaos was created in the entire state. People openly expressed doubts that this cannot be a suicide, there are big mysteries behind it. Candle marches were held at various places, meetings were held at various places to pay tribute to him and a fair investigation was demanded from all over Himachal Pradesh.
Dr. Bindal said that Vimal Negi’s wife, his family members and Kinnaur district collectively said that Vimal Negi was an honest officer and there was no stain on him in his job till now. In such a situation, his mysterious disappearance and his body being found in Bhakra Dam and the improper activity of some officers at the time of his recovery and the disappearance of some of his belongings, all these things were pointing towards something else and the demand for a CBI inquiry grew stronger in this regard.
Dr. Bindal said that the CBI should investigate, the public also said this, Vimal Negi’s family said, the Bharatiya Janata Party, which is in the opposition, continuously put pressure on the CBI investigation of this case, but Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, who is also the Home Minister, rejected the demand for a CBI investigation and formed an SIT. Another thing that is surprising in this is that if IAS rank officers will investigate the IAS officers who are under suspicion in this case, then what will be the result? This was a topic of discussion everywhere.
Dr. Bindal said that ultimately Vimal Negi’s wife had to knock the door of the High Court of Himachal Pradesh and today the Hon’ble High Court has passed the order for a CBI inquiry into this case. On one hand, this seems to be the victory of truth, but on the other hand, it is a direct attack on the Congress government of Himachal Pradesh which is running under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. Why did they reject the CBI inquiry for so many days? Why did they not show seriousness towards such a serious issue? And what are the issues behind this? Was there an attempt to hide any corruption behind this?
Dr. Bindal welcomed the decision of the Hon’ble High Court and said that this decision will shed light on the mysterious death of Vimal Negi. He thanked Vimal Negi’s wife who faced the whole matter and his family members who stood by him like a rock in his struggle and kept demanding that this mystery should be unraveled.
