High Court adjourns hearing on five star Wildflower Hall case till Nov 24
Himachal Pradesh High Court on Tuesday adjourned the hearing in the five Star wildflowers hall hospitality unit case till November 24, accepting the request of state counsel.
In an order passed by the single judge bench of Justice Satyan Vaidya said that hearing was adjourned till November 24 at 1400 hrs.
Earlier today the high court was expected to hear the matter of wildflowers hall possession but the Mr. Prabhat Kumar, learned counsel, appears for the state and submitted that Mr. Dhruv Mehta, learned Senior Advocate, is to lead the case on behalf of non-applicants or respondents, but he is not available today due to his pre-occupation.
The counsel for the respondent submitted that reply to Other original mislinious petition(OMP) would be filed on behalf of the non-applicants cum respondents during the course of the day.
Court allowed the parties to be at liberty to join through Video conference.
The counsel for the applicant East India Hotel Ltd. Mr. R.L. Sood, and Mr. Arjun Lal, Advocate and Mr. Rajaraman Shankar, President Corporate Affairs for E.I.H. was also present in the court.
For the State of Himachal Senior Additional Advocate General with Mr. Prabhat Kumar and Mr. Vivek Negi, Advocates was present.
On November 18 the High court has stayed the November 17, executive order of State government. The court held that state would not take possession of the the Wildflowers hall( at Charabar) till court hear the matter on November 21 in the impinged order passed by the Secretary Tourism on November 17, 2023.
It is worthwhile to mention that state government was taking possession of Wild Flower Hall of Chharabra onNovember 18 when court gave relief to the EIH ltd. NoNovember 18 when court gave relief to the EIH ltd.
