Former National President of Bharatiya Janata Party and Union Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda has extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all the people of Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of the foundation day of Devbhoomi Himachal Pradesh.

He said that Devbhoomi Himachal Pradesh, adorned with the glorious history of bravery, valor and Sanatan civilization, rich in supernatural natural beauty, is a unique confluence of nature and culture.

Wishing a bright future for the people of the state, Nadda said that it is his prayer that Devbhoomi continues to move on the path of prosperity and progress.

Appreciating the unique talent, courage and dedication of the people of Himachal Pradesh towards serving the nation, the Union Minister said that the brave sons of Himachal have always played a leading role in serving Mother India.

Voting is not just a right, it is also an important duty of democracy

Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, while congratulating the countrymen on the occasion of National Voters’ Day today, said that this day is an opportunity to further deepen the faith in democratic values.

He praised all the personnel and institutions associated with the Election Commission of India, who are working dedicatedly to strengthen the democratic processes of India.

Nadda said that being a voter is not only a constitutional right but also a very important duty, which gives every citizen an opportunity to play his/her role in building the future of India.

He urged the people to actively participate in the democratic processes and respect the spirit of democracy, thereby strengthening the foundation of a developed India.

The Union Minister, while emphasizing the need to encourage young voters, especially those who are becoming voters for the first time, said that becoming a voter is an occasion for celebration and the participation of new voters provides new energy to democracy.

Republic Day is a public expression of the ideals of the Constitution

Nadda said Republic Day is a historic and important milestone in India’s national journey. With the adoption of the Constitution on January 26, 1950, India was established as a sovereign democratic republic.

He said that the Republic Day celebrations reflect our democratic institutions, constitutional values ​​and the diversity of the nation. The parade held on the Line of Duty in New Delhi is a wonderful amalgamation of military discipline, cultural heritage and regional representation.

This festival further strengthens our commitment to the Constitution through flag hoisting, cultural programmes and civic events across the country.

The theme of the 77th Republic Day is ‘150 years of Vande Mataram’

The Union Minister informed that the theme of this year’s 77th Republic Day celebrations is “150 Years of Vande Mataram.” The parade, tableaux, cultural performances and competitions will be based on this spirit.

He said that this theme will serve to connect the national anthem of India with freedom, cultural expression and aspirations of the present.

Nadda informed that extensive public participation is being ensured in the events of Republic Day 2026. Thousands of special guests have been invited from across the country, including farmers, scientists, innovators, women entrepreneurs, students, sportspersons, and frontline workers.

He urged the youth to participate in the national festival by taking part in national competitions organised on platforms like ‘My Bharat’ and ‘My Gov’.
