Health facilities on ventilator in Himachal : Chaman Rakesh Azta
Aam Aadmi Party’s Shimla Lok Sabha in-charge Chaman Rakesh Ajta told a press conference in Shimla that health services in the state have completely collapsed. Health services are on ventilator in the hospitals of the districts including IGMC, the biggest hospital of the state. In the state’s largest hospital IGMC, two patients are lying on a single bed, due to which pregnant women are at risk of infection. The negligence in IGMC is such that patients are soaked with water from the hydrant itself. Many patients kept getting wet while sitting on stretchers and wheelchairs, could not even run. When this is the condition of the capital’s hospital, then the plight of health facilities in the districts and villages can be gauged. Even after 70 years of independence, the people of the village are carrying the patient on their back to the hospital, till now there is neither health facilities nor ambulance facility in the villages. Even today women have to travel 75 kms for ultrasound. The ineffective governments of Congress and BJP have done nothing to provide better health facilities to the people. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and Health Minister are busy in preparations for the Prime Minister’s rally, but nothing is being done to improve the health facilities of the state.
Patients are not getting health facilities from the capital to the village, machines are bad, neither tests nor medicines are available in hospitals: AAP
Rakesh Azta said that in the hill state of Himachal, people are not getting health facilities from the capital to the block and village level. There are always reports of malfunctioning of machines in IGMC. It also takes two hours to make slips to the patients there. There is no arrangement for the treatment of elderly patients coming to the hospital. In hospitals, neither ultrasound nor any kind of tests are done due to the malfunctioning of the machines. The government claims to provide free medicines to all, but medicines are not available in any hospital. People of the state keep stumbling for treatment, but there is no treatment.

Rakesh Azta said that Jairam government has not done anything for health facilities. The Aam Aadmi Party has guaranteed better health services to the people of the state. Give Aam Aadmi Party a chance, health facilities will be improved in the state. The guarantee that Kejriwal gives to the public, the guarantee is fulfilled first when the government is formed. Better health facilities are being provided to the people of Delhi. Now after the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, more than 100 Mohalla Clinics have been opened, where the people of Punjab are getting better facilities. In Himachal also, Kejriwal has given a guarantee of better health, with this guarantee all the people of the state will get better health facilities free of cost. Good hospitals will be built and mohalla clinics will be opened in the village. All the tests from the operation will be free and all the medicines will be available for free. In case of road accident in Himachal Pradesh, complete treatment will be done free of cost. If AAP government is formed in Himachal, better health facilities will be provided to the people.
