Health check-up of 150 children done in Peeran School
As part of the National Child Health Checkup Program, a camp was organized on Thursday at the Government Senior Secondary School, Peeran, courtesy of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Mashobra. Medical officers from the CHC, Mashobra, Dr. Ruchi Saini, and Dr. Puneet Verma, examined the health of over 150 children from the Government Senior Secondary School, Peeran, and the Primary School, Nalta. Dr. Ruchi Saini stated that under this program, children are screened for 40 diseases, and if any symptoms are found, the health department provides free treatment. She added that children’s blood pressure was also tested at the camp. Some children were found to be anemic and were advised to take iron tablets and eat a balanced diet. She also provided tips for staying healthy during the winter season.
Acting Principal Devinda Chauhan thanked the health department team for organizing the health check-up camp for the school children. She urged them to organize such camps more frequently in the future.
