Haryana winner and Himachal runner-up in Pratham Khelo India Women Kickboxing League

The Khelo India Women’s Kickboxing League organized by the Indian Kickboxing Federation (WACO India) was concluded by Amit Pal Singh, President of HIO Pro Kickboxing at the Rajiv Gandhi High Altitude Training Center of Sports Authority of India, Shilaru, Shimla.

After the inclusion of kickboxing game in the Khelo India program by the Sports Ministry of the Government of India, the Women’s Kickboxing League was started from Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. In this sports Mahakumbh, 80 women players from almost all the states across the country participated in different weight categories and different ages. The Himachal Pradesh team comprising of 23 women players stood second in the country with eleven gold medals in its kitty. The winning team was Haryana.

President of HI Pro Kickboxing, Amit Pal Singh participated as the chief guest in the inauguration ceremony.

WACO India Kickboxing Federation President Santosh Aggarwal, National Kickboxing Association General Secretary Dr. Sanjay Kumar Yadav along with Sai Shilaru Center incharge Ankush Katoch also encouraged the women players. Among the special guests at the function, Zilla Parishad member from Rohru Monita Chauhan, Senior Vice President of State Kickboxing Association Anil Sharma, Vice President Tilak Raj Sharma, national coach Suresh Babu, Nilesh Shelar, Siddharth Bhalgade, international referee Vivek and Kumari Seema were present and foreign coaches.

Djotic of Serbia and Abu Nasar of Jordan were also present. Let us also tell that nowadays a ten-day international kickboxing coaching camp is going on in Shalaroo in which five foreign coaches are giving advanced and high level training to two hundred and fifty players from all over the country.
