Guarantee of Rs 100 per liter purchase of milk, approval for increase of Rs 6: Randhir

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Legislative Party Secretary Randhir Sharma accused the present Congress government and said that the Congress government is continuously misleading the people of Himachal Pradesh. He said that in the last assembly elections, the Congress Party had made many promises to the public and had also given 10 guarantees to the public and the Congress government had also said that these guarantees would be fulfilled as soon as it comes to power.

He said that after coming to power, the Congress government has forgotten the promises but has also failed to fulfill the guarantees. It has been more than a year since this government came to power but not a single guarantee has been fully implemented, while people are being misled. This government says that we have fulfilled three guarantees. He said that while the truth is that not a single guarantee has been fully implemented. He said that recently the Chief Minister of the state had campaigned to fulfill the guarantee by increasing the price of milk by Rs 6, in which he had said that we will buy milk from farmers at Rs 100 per liter.

MLA Randhir Sharma said that currently the price is around Rs 40 per liter. He said that what is needed is an increase of Rs 60 per liter, but the Congress government is trying to mislead the public by increasing it by Rs 6 per litre. Which the Bharatiya Janata Party strongly condemns. Bharatiya Janata Party believes that this increase is like a straw in the camel’s mouth. He said that this increase should have been fully implemented by Rs 100 per liter because after coming to power, this government had increased the liquor sold within the state by Rs 10 per bottle and said that this is milk cess. This money will be increased by Rs 10 per liquor bottle and milk will be purchased from farmers at Rs 100 per liter.

He said that the government is collecting milk cess but the farmers are not getting the price of milk. Therefore, Bharatiya Janata Party says that it misleads the public in this way. This government tries to mislead the public. Bharatiya Janata Party strongly criticizes this.

The Bharatiya Janata Party government ran under the leadership of Chief Minister Jairam Thakur for the last 5 years. During the Bharatiya Janata Party government, the price of milk was increased by Rs 9 per liter. But by increasing the rate by Rs 6 per litre, the Congress government has proved that this government is not concerned about the welfare of the farmers but is making an effort to get their votes in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections by misleading them. He said that the farmers of the state and the cattle rearers of the state are aware and instead of getting confused by this increase, they will not get confused until their demand of Rs 100 per liter of milk is met and the Indian public will not fall for this tempting propaganda of Congress. The party has full confidence.
