Grand inauguration of Chintpurni festival on september 26, CM Sukhu to kick off the event

The first-ever Mata Shri Chintpurni Festival is set for a grand debut in Una district on 26th September. The highly anticipated event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu at 4 PM at the Amb fairground, following a ceremonial welcome of the holy flame of Mata Shri Chintpurni Ji at the SDM Amb office premises.

Ahead of the festival, MLA Sudarshan Bablu, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal, and Superintendent of Police Rakesh Singh conducted an on-site inspection of the Amb fairground on Wednesday. The officials reviewed seating, parking, and visitor amenities to ensure seamless arrangements for the thousands of devotees expected to attend. Bablu emphasized that thorough preparations have been made to avoid any inconvenience to visitors, estimating a turnout of over 10,000 on the opening day.

“This year marks a new chapter for the Chintpurni constituency, as we bring a large-scale festival to the region. The excitement among the locals is palpable,” said MLA Bablu.

Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal highlighted the administration’s efforts in ensuring proper crowd management, security, health services, and cleanliness. “Our goal is to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone,” he remarked. Lal also noted that cultural programs and sports competitions would be key attractions throughout the festival. Additionally, Superintendent of Police Rakesh Singh outlined traffic control and law enforcement measures to maintain order during the festivities.

District Invites Public to Join the Celebrations

DC Jatin Lal extended a formal invitation to all Una residents and the general public to attend the festival. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will inaugurate the event on 26th September, with Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri serving as the guest of honor and MLA Sudarshan Bablu as the special guest.

On 27th September, the festival’s second day, R.S. Bali, Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation and Vice Chairman of the Tourism Development Board, will preside over the evening’s cultural program, with MLA Bablu present as a special guest. The closing ceremony on 28th September will be graced by Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, while MLA Bablu will again serve as a special guest.

The administration has decided to infuse social causes into the festival’s celebrations. Each cultural evening will highlight a different social issue. The 26th will be observed as Sukh Ashray Day, the 27th as Elderly Day, and the 28th as Divyang Day. These themes aim to foster awareness and sensitivity toward different social groups.

Exciting Lineup of Cultural Programs and Performances

Additional Deputy Commissioner Mahendra Pal Gurjar shared that the festival’s cultural evenings will feature an array of performances by local artists and renowned national talents. Sufi singer Satinder Sartaaj will take the stage on the opening night, captivating the audience with his soulful melodies. On 27th September, celebrated Punjabi singer Lakhwinder Wadali will enthrall the crowd, followed by a closing performance by Kulwinder Billa on 28th September, which promises to be a memorable conclusion.

Other highlights of the festival include Holi with flowers, Feet on Fire dance performances, the Mahishasur Mardini dance, a spectacular drone show, and a Wheelchair Dance performance. Daily sports activities, social awareness programs, and entertainment events will further enrich the festival experience.

The stage is set for a vibrant and culturally rich Mata Shri Chintpurni Festival, making it an event not to be missed.
