Govt to probe increasing use of red beacons by Police Officers

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said in the Assembly on Friday that goverment would find if any senior cops are not in violation of red and green beacons on the vehicle.
Chief minister was intervening into a statement given by Leader of Opposition Mr Mukesh Agnihotri through point of order after question hours on Friday.
Mr Agnihotri said that number of police officers are moving on restricted and sealed roads of state along with  flags of red, blue and multiple beacons on their VVIP laxurious vehicles in violation of the red light use 
Mr Agnihotri said that Congress legislator and it’s senior leaders volunterily decided to sorrounder blue beacons however Functionaries of Govt including Chairmen and vice chairmen and police officers now indulged VVIP culture.
Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur said that he would order the probe to find out the alleged violation as Goverment did not allowed it as informed by opposition leader.
In reply to another query raised by CPI(M) MLA Mr Rakesh Singha, Health Minister Rajiv Sehjal said that no government employees posted in the hospital and Covid facilities during the pandemic declared as Corrona warriors in the state.
