Governor Shukla to guide scholars of the Indian Institute of Higher Studies

Shiv Prasad Shukla, Hon’ble Governor of Himachal Pradesh will guide the Fellows and Associate Fellows of the Historical Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla on Sunday. The President of the Governing Body of the Institute, Prof. Shashiprabha Kumar, and Director Prof. Nageswara Rao will welcome the Honorable Governor.

The honorable Governor will be given information about the institute and its historical importance in the main entrance hall, three photo exhibitions, the library, Viceroy’s offices, and rooms will be taken on tour. After the tour, the academic activities of the institute will be discussed by the Governor with fellows and co-fellows.

After that, the program will be organized in the library room. In which the welcome speech by the director of the institute and the address of the chairperson of the governing body of the institute will be given. Two books from the Institute and two books from the Central Hindi Directorate will also be released in the library hall with the blessings of the Governor.

Former President of the Institute, who was recently honored with Padma Bhushan by the Government of India, Prof. Kapil Kapoor will be felicitated during the program. On this occasion, Prof. Kapil Kapoor will also address this. After that, the gathering will be addressed by the Honorable Governor.
