Government wants to hijack the by-elections on the basis of government bullying : Bindal
three by-elections of the Vidhan Sabha will be held on July 10. The nomination process for these by-elections is underway. Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s government wants to hijack these elections on the basis of government highhandedness and money power. The decision to give HPP force to Dehra in the cabinet meeting and making other announcements is not only illegal but also a betrayal of the people of Dehra.
BJP State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal said that if the Chief Minister was so concerned about his in-laws, then why did he not do anything for Dehra in the last one and a half years. MLA Hoshiar Singh continuously appealed to the Chief Minister for the development of Dehra but he was rebuked and Dehra was not developed.
Dr Bindal alleged that the announcements being made now are fraud, deception and announcements that will never be fulfilled. No timely consideration was given for the development of Kangra district and now announcements are being made in a hurry.
Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Hoshiar Singh is going to file his nomination on June 21 in Dehra. For this, BJP duly took permission for a ground, a copy of which is enclosed. Today, the permission to hold the programme at that ground was withdrawn.
BJP alleged that ever since the name of the Chief Minister’s wife was announced as a candidate, the government has resorted to hooliganism and is preventing the Bharatiya Janata Party from campaigning. The Election Commission should also take cognizance of all these things. Earlier also, the Model Code of Conduct was violated many times by the Congress and the Election Commission did not take any action on it. We want to tell the administrative officials that they should also stop working against the BJP under the pressure of the government.
