Government should give DA and pending arrears to the employees :- Rajiv Rana
The meeting of the District Council Employees and Officers Federation, held in the auditorium of the District Council Office of Hamirpur, was presided over by District President Ashok Kumar. Unorganised Workers and Employees Congress (KKC) State Chairman Rajiv Rana attended the program as chief guest.
District President Ashok Kumar, while placing the demand before Chairman Rajiv Rana, said that as per the notification no. Fin (C)-B(7)-2/2021 dated 03.01.2022 of the Finance Department of the State Government, the benefits of the Sixth Pay Commission have been provided to the employees of all the departments, boards, corporations of Himachal Pradesh from January 2022, but the Zila Parishad cadre has not been given the benefits of the Sixth Pay Commission.
And after several requests to the government and the department, guidelines for giving the benefits of the Sixth Pay Commission were issued by the Director and Special Secretary Panchayati Raj on letter number PCH-HB-(15) 01/2022 Pay Revision-1622-33 Dt.07.03.2024. But as per the Assembly letter number starred 2851 dated 25.03.2025, the arrears from 23/09/2022 to 07.03.2024 have been given to the employees working in 6 Zilla Parishad offices of 9 districts and the employees of the Zilla Parishad cadre working in the Gram Panchayats of 33 development blocks, whereas the arrears are not being given to the employees of the Zilla Parishad working in the remaining Zilla Parishad offices and Gram Panchayats of the development blocks till date, which also includes the Honorable Chief Minister’s own development block Naidun.
So our request is that it should be given as soon as possible.
On the other hand, Chief Guest Chairman Rajiv Rana said that the state government has sympathy towards the employees, after meeting Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the guidelines for giving the benefits of the Sixth Pay Commission from 23/09/2022 to 3799 employees of Zila Parishad cadre including Executive Engineer, Assistant Engineer, Junior Engineer, Panchayat Secretary, Technical Assistant, Stenographer, Junior Accountant, Data Entry Operator, Sevadaar and Chowkidar etc. as per Notification No. PCH-HB(15)01/2022 Pay Revision-60236-62336 Dt 23/09/2022 will be provided as soon as possible,
Rajiv Rana also said that in the year 2007, these employees were made full time from part time by the former Chief Minister Late Raja Virbhadra Singh and they were also regularized in the year 2015.
Unorganised Workers and Employees Congress District Vice President Vishal Rana, District Vice President Youth Congress Vishwa Shama, Vice President Hamirpur Rajat Rana were present in the programme.
