Government should compensate for the damage caused by rain and hailstorm: Bindal

BJP State President and former Vidhansabha Speaker Dr. Rajeev Bindal said that the expected snow and rain in the months of December, January, and February did not happen, farmers and horticulturists suffered huge losses due to this.

Incessant rains and hailstorms, thunderstorms in the months of April and May have caused heavy losses to the farmers of Himachal Pradesh. Where the crops of the gardener were broken, fell down, trees were broken, uprooted. The standing crop of the farmer sat there.

During the last few days, strange and poor weather prevailed in the entire state. In such a situation, there are farmers-horticulturists and many rural and urban people whose roofs were blown off, houses were destroyed, and trees fell on vehicles and caused huge damage.

In such a situation, while doing any assessment above the ground level and above the ground level on behalf of the state government, no position is visible in the direction of compensating the loss of the people. It is our request that the government should work with promptness in this matter, while assessing the loss, compensate the loss of farmers, gardeners and others.
